Specifications Technologist – 6 month FTC

At Tayto Group we need the very best to add value to our business and become part of our on-going success, therefore we are looking for an experienced Specifications Technologist to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract. Whilst the role is a FTC, there may be opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating specifications for a range of retail customers, reviewing and approving artwork as well as ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Completion of retailer specifications as per the requirements defined by the Group Technical Compliance Manager
• Completion of Brand pack copies as per the requirements defined by the Group Tech Services Manager
• Ensuring all artwork is accurate and correct
• Updating various specification systems of our customers and all associated documentation
• Day-to-day support of projects and managing workloads to be able to complete tasks within the required timescales
• Support the group technical function with any other group technical tasks that may need actioning
• Ensuring all specifications and artwork are legally compliant

What we are looking for:

• Food related Degree such as Quality systems or Food Science
• Significant experience of writing food specifications
• Knowledge of retailer systems
• Detailed knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation
• Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve deadlines.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
• Food labelling qualification
