Job Description

We are currently seeking a Factory Area Manager to join our Site Leadership Team at our Corby site.  The purpose of the role is to drive and deliver optimum performance excellence within the factory.  Delivering a balanced scorecard across the site to meet and exceed standards and budget targets, as well as driving continuous improvement year on year.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience within a similar role and environment, will be a strong leader, communicator, team player and problem solver.  A highly effective people manager with the skills to engage and develop a team to their optimum potential, ensuring talent is identified and growth facilitated.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent
  • HACCP level 3 minimum with food processing/ packaging know how; food safety risk assessments.
  • ISOH or NEBOSH qualified
  • Any relevant proven record or CI and Change management processes
  • FMCG background including maintenance of high-speed packaging in a demanding customer orientated business
  • Significant operational manufacturing experience and knowledge of planning and ERP systems, OEE and performance management tools
  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent

  • ISOH or NEBOSH qualified
  • Any relevant proven record or CI and Change management processes
  • Very capable people leader; standard setting, holding people accountable, influencing, motivating and coaching skills.
  • High ability to communicate at all levels in the organisation (shop floor to senior executives)
  • Broad understanding of Operations
  • Understanding of Operations financial processes and systems (Standard costings, Budget, forecasting, etc.).
  • Analytical skills and the ability to make short and long term recommendations on the basis of available data.
  • A proven track record of project management and affecting change
  • Influencing skills across departments, peers and seniors
  • Managing and control of departmental budgets
